Municipal Court

The East Providence Municipal Court is comprised of a Municipal Court Judge, Court Administrator, Bailiff, Sergeant of the Court and shared clerk positions within the City Clerk's Office. They provide service to maintain the daily operations of the Municipal Court. Housing, City Ordinance, Animal and Traffic violations along with Boating are some of the types of cases heard in Municipal Court.

During this past fiscal year, the Municipal Court has processed over 5,000 cases. Seventy percent (70%) of these cases have been adjudicated.

Time and date of court hearings are tentatively scheduled; however, please contact the Court Administrator for a full schedule.  

Court is held on Thursday evenings at 5:00 pm
