Description

This historic property was once a turn of the century amusement park. It later became part of the Rumford Chemical Company, supplying water for their plant also located in Rumford. This is a passive recreation area with a picnic area overlooking a tranquil waterfall. The John Hunt House Museum, operated by the East Providence Historical Society, is a prominent part of this property. A link to the museum is found at the bottom of this page.

The picnic area will be closed from July 2010  through November 2011 due to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fish Ladder Project.
