Hazardous Materials Team

The East Providence Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Team is comprised of members of the EPFD who received 160 hours of rigorous training to complement their initial Awarness and Operations training to become certified as Hazardous Materials Technicians.  While training continuously, the Team is one of seven regional Hazardous Materials Response Teams in the State of Rhode Island.  Although part of a Statewide effort, East Providence is the only team with a dedicated truck to handle any such emergency.
